Wheel-A-Thon 2020

We’re geared up for the 2020 Wheel-A-Thon (WAT), and we hope you’re excited too! Like most activities right now, WAT will look a little different this year. Please be on the lookout for more details in the weekly Falcon Newsletter, and thank you for your patience! What’s NOT changing this year? WAT will be a fun and memorable event for all!

But first, what is WAT? The Wheel-A-Thon is a bike-ride fundraiser that supports your child’s class fund for field trips, classroom activities, and other educational needs. Students traditionally raise money by asking friends and family to sponsor their participation in WAT. Again, stay tuned for a detailed WAT rollout!

2020 WAT details (so far!):

T-shirts: Students received their WAT t-shirts at last Friday’s SFA Fly-by. Students, please wear your t-shirts on Wednesdays.
Congratulations again to our 2020 design contest winner, 8th-grader Zyanya Gutierrez. Zyanya is also the winner of a $50 Scrip gift card!
T-shirt decorating contest: Who’s feeling creative?! Student Council is hosting a WAT t-shirt decorating contest, so get out your fabric markers, puff paint, and tie-dye, and show us your WAT spirit! To participate in the contest, send a photo of your decorated t-shirt to sc@sfafalcons.org.
Online fundraising is coming soon! Be on the lookout for a link to the updated WAT website.

2019 WAT recap:

The all-school individual fundraising winner is Vincent Ellis, who won a $100 Scrip gift card. Way to go, Vincent!
The overall class fundraising winner is the current 8th Grade Class. Congratulations, 8th Grade! (Your prize is on the way!)
