The faculty and staff have been very busy getting prepared to welcome our students back to campus! We are very excited to get started and have all our students join us! The following documents are attached to this newsletter for all families to review:
Safety Plan which has been approved by the Diocese of Oakland. We will continue to follow the CDC and Contra Costa guidelines as we begin our school year. ALL faculty/staff and students will wear a mask when inside the building. Please review the plan as it contains important information for the safety of our students. Saint Francis of Assisi Safety Plan
Health App- all faculty/staff and families are required to fill this out prior to being on campus. This form will be checked before students get out of their cars. If a student is walking or riding their bike to school they must present the APP or copy of it to the faculty member at the gate prior to entering. See you soon,
Dear Valued Partners,
2021 Back to School is shaping up to be one of the most unorthodox in our 100 year history. We wanted to give you all a quick business update on what we’re experiencing and what we’re doing about it.
What we’re experiencing:
Unprecedented demand across the country.
Many schools are sharing with us that they are experiencing meaningful increases in last minute enrollment. This is impacting customer order flow and processing times.
Many customers are “over-purchasing” uniforms. Customer orders are 1.5 to 2 times greater than historically normal.
Stores are overflowing with “last-minute” shoppers. We are keeping our smiles (and masks) on. Most customers have been gracious and understanding. Some have not.
We are experiencing inventory delivery delays from our vendors, resulting in order backlogs of certain styles and sizes.
What are we doing about it?
We are ALL literally working around the clock. We are doing so with fewer people as a result of the overall national hiring challenges that we, just as many other retailers, are experiencing. We are offering signing bonuses and higher than normal wages to attract seasonal employees, but it remains challenging!
We are doing our absolute best to fulfill customer WEB orders as quickly as humanly possible. Thankfully, the vast majority of customers have received many of their purchased items.
We are expediting shipping and getting our stores replenished as quickly as possible. Good news! Many of the late shipments are finally beginning to arrive.
We are communicating with our customers to help keep them informed via direct email and social media.
What we ask of you:
Your grace and patience and to share, wherever possible, with your communities the following message:
ALL Parents will receive all that they have purchased – please do not be concerned! Unfortunately, given the challenges we are experiencing, for which we are hard at work solving, it will take a little longer than normal this season to receive all your purchased items.
Thank you all for your understanding. If you have specific questions about your school’s uniform orders, please reach out to your dedicated DENNIS representative for more details. We will also continue to share updates to ensure that you are always informed.
If you are interested in purchasing SCRIP please contact Mrs. Del Prete at [email protected].
Do you have something to share via the Falcon Newsletter?
Inspired by our patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi, in collaboration with the Parish, community, parents, and students, our school celebrates an environment which is dedicated to providing quality faith-based Catholic education in a safe and nurturing environment for students in grades TK-8. Our value-centered academic programs empower the students with the skills to be faith-filled people, life-long learners and problem solvers, globally responsible citizens, and effective communicators.
