Join St. Francis of Assisi School PACE
What is PACE? Great question!
PACE stands for Parents Association for Catholic Education. PACE is our school’s PTA. PACE has a HUGE and very important role in the success of OUR school. The SFA PACE Board and Committee Chairs would love for you to join us and Chair a Committee, Co-Chair a Committee with a friend, Shadow a Committee so that you can chair it next year, or get involved with all the wonderful events that SFA has to offer, to support our children and support our children’s school.
This year we have many great opportunities to support our school by joining PACE. If one of the committees listed below is not quite right for you, please ask PACE how else you can help. Each year, as families who have supported PACE and our school have children who graduate, more positions open up. PACE Committees are a great way to earn your Volunteer hours commitment to St. Francis of Assisi School.
Children’s Choice Coordinator-(Qualifies for 30 hours)
Coordinate with school on all things related to children’s choice lunch.
Auction Shadows
Shadow the auction committee this year and learn the ropes, so that you can take it over next year.
If you are interested in any of these positions, please email Marisa Lujan at [email protected].
SFA Needs You
Host Families are needed for the New Family Partner Program. You can earn 30 service hours while helping a New SFA family learn the ins and outs of SFA. Given the uncertainty of the times, you will become an invaluable resource to help these families feel welcomed into our community. While being a Host Family is a year-long commitment, most events typically take place in the summer and at the beginning of the school year. Your volunteer role includes:
*Zoom or Google Meet with your New Family as soon as possible and at least once per month after that.
*Be available over the phone, internet, and/or social media to walk your New Family through Falcon Fair
*Be flexible throughout the year for future SFA events (think Wheel-A-Thon, Halloween, Breakfast with Santa, Auction).
If interested please contact Karen Zepeda at [email protected].
