Welcome Back!
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 season! As the new principal of Saint Francis of Assisi School, let me be the first to share with you how excited all of us are to begin a new year full of rigorous instruction, engaged learning, and joyful academic growth. Last week, our faculty and staff met and participated in a retreat. During this reflection time we spent time together building upon our theme for the year, “Rooted in Heart.” We reflected uponHappiness, Engagement, Alliances, Risk, and Thought as the essential elements to deeper connections with our students, and each other. Our students are in excellent hands and we are so fortunate to have such a strong, and dedicated school community.
Many wonderful projects have been completed this summer. These include: WIFI installation for our school, solar panels, and a newly remodeled front office. Our homeroom teachers all received MacBook Airs, and our Falcon’s Nest now has The Ring.
Thank you to the work party for making the campus ready for our students, and to our Host Families for putting together an event that reaches out to those who are new to the Saint Francis community.
Thank you to the PACE committee, and School Board for the Welcome Mass, and reception. I am grateful for your kindness. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!
Peace and Blessings,
Mrs. VanderKlugt

No peanuts or nuts are allowed on campus at any time nor at any school-sponsored events- on or off campus. Thank you for supporting our proactive policy.
