An Irish Prayer
May God give you…For every storm, a rainbow, for every tear, a smile, for every care, a promise, And a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh, a sweet song, And an answer for each prayer.
Please join us this Friday, March 18 for mass to celebrate the Sisters of Saint Joseph Carondelet. Mass will begin at 11:30 and will be over by 12:30. Friday is also a minimum day and we are asking that you park and come onto campus to pick up your child/ren from their classroom.
In honor of this very special day, we will be sending home a book titled, Feeding Your Family’s Soul. This book was purchased by Sister James, Principal of Saint Francis of Assisi. We are so blessed to have her watching over us.
Saint Francis of Assisi Parish and School Lenten Almsgiving Project
Father Ismael has asked for us to partner in helping the Parish with fundraising for a Mission project in Haiti. La Saline, a commune of Haiti located in the western department, is one of the largest slums in the country. Unemployment, lack of social housing, road infrastructure, and schools reinforce the poor living conditions in La Saline. Misery only stagnates or increases in this vast slum where parents do not have the means to meet the needs of their children, and adolescents are left to their own devices. For the past few years, the incessant fighting between armed gangs, repeated protest strikes, and this year’s health crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic have further aggravated the precarious situation of the families. In a direct way, this project will benefit 250 young people. Read more about the project here: Haiti project

This week, our 8th graders have been at Caritas for outdoor camp. It has been a beautiful week and I ask that you keep them in your prayers. They will return to us on Friday. Our 7th graders will leave for Caritas on Monday.
