Principal’s Message
Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our State of the School address, and especially to the faculty/staff, Paul Beasley, Kathy Cronin and Lesley Schooler for sharing the vision of our school community with all.  The powerpoint that was shared with the community is attached for those who were not able to attend. We also shared some information regarding FACE. FACE provides need-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of Oakland. FACE qualifications are based on two factors:. Annual Household income and household size, using the Low U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income specific to Alameda and Contra Costa counties guidelines. More information, and directions on how to fill out the correct forms can be found in the office.
Please keep our 6th and 7th graders in your prayers this week while they are at camp. We are also grateful for the many parents who are joining them as chaperones! “Rooted in Heart, together we are one.”
On Tuesday, we celebrated Father Ismael’s 50th birthday with the “Happy Birthday” song and donuts.
Lastly, our Emergency Drill is coming. We are mandated by the School Department of the Diocese of Oakland to hold one every two years. Our drill is scheduled for Friday, May 8th. Students will be dismissed beginning at 10:45 on that day, depending on the first letter of their last name. Also, there will be NO EXTENDED CARE/FALCON’S NEST ON THIS DAY. Please be sure to review the Emergency Drill flyer which has come home in your Wednesday envelope.
