Principal’s Message
As we reflect on Catholic Schools Week, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Saint Francis of Assisi School community for your investment in our Catholic school. It was wonderful to witness the special activities, celebrations and masses held during the week. Some of my favorite moments included seeing images of student outreach and service to our community, and the Rope Warrior assembly.
Congratulations to our Spelling Bee Winners: First Place, Mia Montifar; Second Place, Catherine Bentley; Third Place, Alexis Montifar.
Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote, “Peace is not merely a goal that we seek, but a means by which we achieve that goal”. Jesus taught us, “Love one another as I love you. I hope that the moments we shared throughout this past week may inspire us to take further action within our school days to truly grow in the ministry and mission to which we share. In this way, celebrating our Catholic schools will take place more than just one week in our year, but in the actions we commit ourselves to each day.
Today, our faculty came together with Michael Dreyfus-Pai, Director of Technology for the Diocese of Oakland, to investigate the technology resources coming our way.
Lastly, if you are interested in becoming a girl’s cheer coach for CYO grades 5, 6 or 7, during the 2020-2021 school year, please contact Lisa Cattrone.

Dine & Donate Fundraiser
This month’s Dine & Donate event will be held at BurgerIM in Pleasant Hill (2380 Monument Blvd, in the Crossroads Shopping Ctr) on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. If you’ve never been to BurgerIM before, you’re in for a real treat! BurgerIM allows you to customize your burger any way you’d like! From regular sized burgers to small sliders, you can choose from beef, lamb, chicken, salmon, or even falafel! They even offer chicken wings, delicious sides and kId’s meals too! There are gluten free, vegetarian, pescatarian and even vegan options. Click on this link to view their extensive menu!
This fundraiser is valid ALL DAY from 11am to 9pm! The best part? In an effort to go green, BurgerIM does NOT require a fundraising flyer at all! Just make sure you mention you’d like to support St. Francis of Assisi School BEFORE you order so that the cashier will make sure to include your transaction in our fundraiser.
Online orders will also be included, as well as Doordash or Chowhound delivery orders. Just make sure you enter “St. Francis of Assisi School” in the comments section.
Be sure to invite your family and friends!
See you there!
