Principal’s Message
Lent is a time of repentance and preparation for the coming of Easter. It is a time of self-examination and reflection. In the early church, Lent began as a period of fasting and preparation for baptism by new converts and then became a time of penance by all Christians. Today, Christians focus on relationships with God, growing as disciples and extending ourselves, often choosing to give up something or to volunteer and give of ourselves for others.
Sundays in Lent are not counted in the forty days because each Sunday represents a “mini-Easter.” This is why you will see the designation “Sunday in Lent” rather than “Sunday of Lent” in the naming of these Sundays. On each Lord’s Day in Lent, while Lenten fasts continue, the revenant spirit of Lent is tempered with joyful anticipation of the Resurrection.
Letters of Intent for the 2021-2022 school year will be coming home via your homeroom teacher classroom newsletter. Registration for next year will remain $400.00 and we are requiring a non-refundable $200.00 initial deposit to be returned with your Letter of Intent by March 8, 2021.
  • Students must wear a mask at all times. Please check your student’s supplies to make sure that they have extra masks.
  • There have been no changes in the 6 foot classroom distancing or the 6 foot social distancing requirements as outlined by Contra Costa County. Therefore, we will continue with our hybrid model of learning on our campus and will continue to adhere to this requirement and will do so until otherwise directed.
