Principal’s Message
One of Mother Teresa’s famous quotes is, “I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.” This speaks to the great work that was done by many for our Wheel-A-Thon! What an amazing event, from beginning to end, riding, to sharing in laughter and food, it was beyond words. Thank you to Andrea Pezel, and Natalie Kendall for their leadership, and for the many volunteers that made it happen!
This past Sunday, we came together as “family” to celebrate Mass. It was great to share time with each other, and I look forward to sharing many more Sundays worshipping together.
Today, our 8th graders attended mass at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. This was a day to celebrate them, and their being leaders to all those students who look up to them. We are so proud of them, and look forward to the many memories they will make this
Please join us this Friday to celebrate the feast day of our patron saint along with the parish at 8:30 am Mass. At 12:00, we will have a blessing of the pets on the field. A handout
was sent out in the parent envelope with exact details. We will dismiss on Friday at 12:30
following the blessing of the pets.

The big event may be over, but we’re still fundraising! Please be sure to turn in pledge money by Friday, October 25th to qualify for prizes! No cash, please—checks only, made payable to St. Francis of Assisi PACE. Or, give online at https://sfacncrd.ejoinme.org/Wheel-A-Thon2019.
Thank you again for your support! Please email sfawheelathon@gmail.com with any questions.
Dine & Donate
Our next Dine & Donate fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Chipotle Mexican Grill, located at 785 Oak Grove Rd, next to Trader Joe’s. Chipotle will generously donate 33% of total sales generated between the hours of 5pm and 9pm! So invite your friends and neighbors to dine with us as we raise funds for SFA. Help us spread the word by posting the flyer on your social media accounts!
You can bring in the fundraising flyer, show a digital copy on your smart phone, or SIMPLY MENTION that you’re supporting St. Francis of Assisi School and they will take care of everything!
***Please note that online orders WILL NOT be included in the fundraiser total.***
Gift cards purchased in the restaurant during our event WILL NOT count toward our fundraiser. HOWEVER you can pay for your meal with an existing gift card (Chipotle SCRIP gift cards purchased through SFA) and this will count toward the fundraiser.
Hope to see you there!

Instrumental Music Program
The Saint Francis of Assisi School Instrumental Music Program is going into its 18th successful year, and we are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our young musicians! Last year we had many children learning the joy of playing a musical instrument. They gave a delightful and entertaining recital in the spring, and we are looking forward to another great year for music at Saint Francis!
